The Door County Plein Air Festival

For 15 years, the Door County Plein Air Festival has celebrated the tradition of outdoor painting with nationally-renowned painters from across the country. While this year is different and some things have had to change, you can still expect great art and amazing artists! From July 19 through August 7, 2020, 38 artists will be joining us from their homes, putting brush to canvas across the country, creating new plein air works, art inspired by Door County and more.
One of the best parts of the Door County Plein Air Festival is getting to know the artists and watching their process. This year will be no different! Follow us on social media or check upcoming emails to see the artists in action, and listen to interviews. Events include:
Live online auction of 150 works by 38 artists. (Digital auction catalog available July 19)
A socially-distanced approved curbside small works sale, July 25-26
Live streamed awards presentation, August 1

As part of our on-going Family Friday series, we're offering free pick up art kits with all the supplies for a pint-sized paint out. Pick up a kit, find a spot in Door County for the kids to paint, and share your results online #kidspaint #penartdc. Kits available on a first-come first-served basis.
