SCHEDULE

10am – 12pm:  NPS Rangers and Staff will greet visitors at Coldwater Spring with coffee, donuts, and maps to the artists’ locations.

10am – 3:30pm:  Artists will be painting on location. The public is encouraged to visit and observe.

4 – 6pm:  All artists and observers are invited to return to Groveland Gallery for a party and sale on the front porch at the end of the day.

Friday, August 24th 9am - 9pm

STUDIO: HERE - 12 Artists, 12 Hours, 12 Days

Each day of the fair, there will be one practicing Minnesota artist work from 9am to 9pm in the gallery. The Special Exhibition area in the Fine Arts building will be provided as work space: "a-studio-away-from-studio". Each of our artists will display one work in our gallery for the duration of the fair. Many experienced gallery-goers walk through our building each day, but for many of our visitors, this may be the one time each year to interact with fine art.

SmackDown: 10 am-3:30 pm | Party & Sale: 4-6 pm

The Groveland Gallery Plein Air SmackDown returns for its 8th year. This year, 20 gallery and guest artists will be painting en plein air on and around the Upper St. Anthony Falls Lock & Dam. This year’s event is being held in partnership with the National Park Service and Mississippi Park Connection, the Friends Group of the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area (MNRRA).
